soma kids on sunday mornings

Kids meet in Kids Crews each Sunday.  Pre-school aged kids (babies through 5 years old) can be dropped off as soon as you arrive.

Kindergarten-5th graders check in when you arrive, but stay with your family for worship and leave with their crew leaders before the sermon.  You are welcome to accompany them back to their classroom and get them settled and meet their crew leaders. Then they come back to the sanctuary during the last worship set.  Your kids are always welcome to stay with you in the service if they feel more comfortable there.

Yellow Crew: 1-3 years old

Red Crew: 3-5 years old

Green Crew: K-3rd grades

Blue Crew: 4th-5th grades

We have a check-in process for all kids attending crews.  The Soma Kids Host will help you with that!

The 4th Sunday of each month is Family Sunday - kids and youth (kindergarten and up) stay with your family for the whole service.  Nursery and pre-school crews meet as normal.  Learn more about Family Sunday here

well child policy

Help us keep all of our children as safe and healthy as possible by following these guidelines for our Kids Crews.

A well child has:

  • No fever over 99.6 currently or within the last 24 hours
  • No vomiting or diarrhea currently or within the last 24 hours
  • No cough
  • No runny nose (needing their nose wiped more than once every 20 minutes)
  • No skin infections or unexplained rashes
  • No childhood diseases (such as chicken pox, mumps, measles, etc)

Additional guidelines:

If your child or anyone in your child’s home has tested positive for Covid in the last 5 days, please stay home.

Kids crews curriculum - the gospel project

God’s gospel project unfolds from Genesis to Revelation, and the studies help participants of all ages study the Bible in an age-appropriate way. This curriculum has a three-year rotation, so every three years kids have gone through the entire Bible.

In addition to Sunday morning studies, there are resources available to use at home - videos, lessons, extensions and more. If you're looking for a guide to teach your kids about the Bible in connection with what they're learning at church, there are resources here for you!
